State Fair Day!

Unfortunately, our blog as really taken a backseat over the last few weeks.  However, the State Fair Day provides us a great opportunity to really let our blog take flight!!!! So OFF WE GOOOOOO!!!

The State Fair is a culmination of all of the students' hard work researching and learning about their states over the past few months.  We had a great time hearing everyone present the information and fun facts that they learned about their State.  Here are the photos I was able to get before my camera battery died. :(

Today's wonderopolis asked "What is a lagoon?"

Well, just so happens we have an expert! Ethan researched lagoons and their relationship to Venice, Italy while working on his Literature Circle Role as researcher.  We were surprised to see that the word lagoon actually got its origin from the word Laguna which describes the 'lagoons' of Venice.  Check out todays wonderopolis     .    Wonderopolis

Camp Hanes DAY 2

The second day of our Camp Hanes trip began with a hike to the Hidden Cliffs.  The hike was certainly   a challenge, but the experience was well worth the work!  Our entire crew (students and chaperone) made it all the way to the top!  Here are some pictures from the hike.
